Actress
Tinna trained as an actress at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London and graduated with a BA degree in 2010.
Tinna has since then worked in the theatre and toured internationally as well as starring in several shortfilms and a feature.
Tinna is a core member of Spindrift Theatre, an award winning nordic theatre company based in Iceland, Finland and Norway.

Classical singer
Mezzo-soprano
Alongside the theatre Tinna studied classical singing from 2012. First at Reykjavík College of Music and then at Nýi Tónlistarskólinn under renowned mezzo-soprano Alina Dubik.
Tinna has already perfromed quite a few recitals as well as developing and performing in the new chambre opera Love (Ástin ein taugahrúga) by Anna Halldórsdóttir and Elísabet Jökulsdóttir.
Tinna performed her graduation recital in May 2023 and performed as a soloist with the Amateur Symphonic Orchestra in April 2023.

Illustrator
As an illustrator Tinna works with the line between drama and humor, the fantastical and the every-day. The simplicity at the heart of the complication. The magic in the mundane.
She has illustrated stories as well as making independant illustrations
Her illustrations have been compared to such work as the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Tove Janson.

Training

Tinna has studied with mezzo-soprano Alina Dubik as her main teacher, first at Tónlistarskólinn í Reykjavík/Menntaskóli í Tónlist (The Reykjavík College of Music) and then at Nýi Tónlistarskólinn (The New Music School). She finished grade 7 in classical singing in 2021 and grade 8 in 2023
